Downtown Disney's West Side, Walt Disney World, Florida,
Disney's West Side is the newest component within Walt Disney World's recently created "Downtown Disney" district, comprised of the Village Marketplace and Pleasure Island. This location-based entertainment attraction was master planned for 600,000 square feet of high energy venues. EDSA prepared the project's overall master plan and provided full-service detailed site design for all exterior spaces associated with the project, including full time construction administration. EDSA also played a key role in establishing the project's themed environment and design of its themed elements.

Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas

This 30-acre mega-resort offers 1,147 hotel rooms, 12 restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, private airport, and a 30,000-square foot casino. The centerpiece of Atlantis is a 14-acre waterscape of meandering streams, freshwater pools, saltwater lagoons, and waterfalls amidst a tropical garden setting of more than 1,400 coconut palms. In addition, there are numerous aquariums where guests can observe 100 species of marine life including predatory sharks, barracudas, stingrays, and sea turtles. EDSA acted as the design team leader for all site works during design development and construction document preparation. EDSA continued its role as design team leader throughout the construction coordination responsibilities.

Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida

Due to Orlando International Airport's emergence as a global gateway to Florida, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority decided to improve the overall visual image of the airport. This expansion project included a number of elements including: 3 miles of airport access roadways and bridges, a 450-room Hyatt Regency hotel, new terminal areas, and the Great Hall interior atrium. EDSA provided master landscape planning, complete design, and extensive construction observation services for all areas of this project.

Jay Fraigun
Mr. Fraigun has developed an expertise in a wide range of construction projects ranging from moderate to substantial rehabilitation of existing buildings and new construction that includes two-story walk-ups, multi-story apartment buildings and nursing homes. He attended Ohio State University from 1964-1968.

 

In addition to his position as President/Project Manager of J. Holden Construction Company, Mr. Fraigun served as Vice President of Estates Insurance Agency, prepared specifications, determined loss exposures, prepared bids, and purchased all of the insurance requirements of NYSE listed companies. JHS Resort Design Team specializes in projects that involve the integrated services of architecture, interior design and engineering to create market leading, luxury, for sale primary and secondary resort communities. The team is led by Mr. Clint Burdett, a principal in the firm who has practiced with JHS since his graduation from the University of Kansas.
